Assignment Capsule
As a financial analyst, you will collect data, analyze information, make recommendations, drive decisions and implement/execute recommendations. Specifically, this person will be responsible for:
- Medical cost trend analysis, including analysis of hospital and physician contracts, utilization, and costs
- Prepare financial, statistical data and budget analysis/reporting
- Extract data from a Data Warehouse using Oracle / SQL based tools
- Assist in developing methods and criterias of summarizing information compiled
- Complete routine and moderately complex financial analysis
- Prepare and present financial data to management for review and decision making

Role Essentials
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- Strong attention to detail
- Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
- Proficient in manipulating data for analysis and reporting
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Role Desirables
- Previous health insurance industry experience working in a Finance/Accounting role
- Experience with Oracle Discover, SQL, or relational databases
Reporting Relationships
You will report to a Market Finance Director.
