Assignment Capsule
The PERSONAL NURSE provides one-on-one guidance to information, resources and tools to increase the member's ability to manage their own condition, understand their health care options and become active decision makers with their physician. Through a telephonic, at-home workforce, highly qualified registered nurses outreach to provide coaching and guidance to members when they need it most. This position requires full-time hours on the phone, with the ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of our members in the evenings or occasionally on weekends. As a Personal Nurse with Humana, you can make a difference in the lives of your patients and improve their health outcomes. Role Requirements
- Active RN license and possess the ability to be licensed in multiple states with out restrictions
- 4-year degree, preferably in healthcare or business related field
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Seasoned professional with three or move years of clinical experience
- Strong computer, web navigation and research skills
- Must have a separate room with a locked door that can be used as a home office to ensure you and your patients have absolute and continuous privacy while you work.
- Must have accessibility to high speed internet (DSL)for a home office (no satellite or wireless)
- Ability to travel, work and train offsite for 2 weeks (separate weeks), plus additional travel as needed for ongoing training. You will be trained on motivational techniques to assist our members towards a healthier lifestyle.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hrs minimum) Monday through Friday including 2 evenings/wk up to 9pm (local time). Associate may work flexible hours during the day when working that evening. Infrequent weekend calls to accommoda
